Preguntas frecuentes

How do I calculate markup percentage?
Markup % = (Selling Price - Cost) / Cost × 100. For example, if cost is $40 and selling price is $60, markup = ($60-$40)/$40 × 100 = 50%.
What is the difference between markup and margin?
Markup is profit divided by cost. Margin is profit divided by selling price. A 100% markup equals a 50% margin. Markup is always higher than margin for the same transaction.

Selling Price = Cost × (1 + Markup%/100). For example, $40 cost with 50% markup: $40 × 1.50 = $60.
