What is the Keep Ends mode?
Keep Ends preserves the first and last letter of each word while shuffling the middle letters. This exploits the typoglycemia effect — research shows most people can still read text where only the interior letters are scrambled, as long as the first and last letters remain in place.
Does the scrambler handle punctuation?
Yes. Punctuation, numbers, and special characters are left in place. Only alphabetic characters within words are scrambled, so sentence structure and formatting are preserved.
Can I get the same scramble twice?
The scrambler uses random shuffling, so each click produces a different result. For short words (3 letters or fewer), there may be fewer possible arrangements, so repeats are more likely.
